We are supporting one of Germany’s most innovative engineering and manufacturing groups. With operations across 60 countries and a major multi year SAP S/4HANA investment, the organisation is strengthening its Enterprise Solutions Finance team with a dedicated Senior SAP Finance professional.

This is a highly visible role within a global IT and Finance landscape, offering long term development and the opportunity to shape critical financial processes across a multinational environment.

The Opportunity
In this position, you will take end to end ownership of SAP Finance support with a strong focus on banking, payments, and integration topics. You will also act as the single point of contact for the new SAP Advanced Payment Management (APM) module, giving you the chance to build deep expertise in a strategically important area.

The role blends operational support with delivery of targeted projects, including payment format changes, treasury portal integrations, and enhancements across the SAP FI landscape. While you will collaborate closely with Treasury, the role does not require hands on treasury operations experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary owner and expert for SAP Advanced Payment Management (APM)
• Provide functional support across SAP FI, with focus on banking, payments, and finance operations
• Manage and deliver smaller finance IT projects, including:
  • Payment format updates and layout changes
  • Integration with external treasury portals
  • Enhancements to payment and bank communication processes
• Support integrations between FI and MM, PP, SD
• Collaborate with global Finance and IT teams to ensure stable operations and continuous improvement
• Contribute to the organisation’s SAP S/4HANA transformation roadmap
• Act as a trusted partner to business stakeholders across multiple countries

• Solid experience in SAP FI with exposure to banking, payments, or finance operations
• Interest in developing expertise in SAP APM (previous experience is a plus but not required)
• Understanding of FI integrations with MM, PP, SD
• Experience in support environments and smaller project deliveries
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both IT and business stakeholders
• Proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of a critical functional area
