Senior SAP ABAP / RAP Developer (Contract)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer for a 6-month contract position. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern S/4HANA development methodologies, specifically focusing on RAP, Fiori, and clean core principles to help drive our digital transformation initiatives.

Role Overview

• Role: Senior SAP ABAP / RAP Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust applications using S/4HANA ABAP (7.5+ syntax).

• Build advanced SAP Fiori applications leveraging the RESTful ABAP Programming (RAP) model.

• Implement custom extensions in S/4HANA while strictly adhering to Clean Core concepts to ensure upgrade-readiness.

• Develop, optimize, and maintain complex integration points, including OData services and APIs.

• Collaborate with functional teams and architects to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have (Primary Skills)

• S/4HANA ABAP Mastery: 8+ years of hands-on experience, with deep application knowledge of S/4HANA 7.5 syntax.

• Modern Development: Proven experience building Fiori applications using the Restful ABAP Programming (RAP) framework.

• Architecture & Extensibility: Solid understanding of Clean Core principles and modern extensibility patterns in S/4HANA.

• Integration Expertise: Strong experience in at least two or more of the following niche technical areas:

  • OData Services & REST/SOAP APIs

  • SAP Fiori / SAPUI5

  • SAP AIF (Application Interface Framework)

  • DRF (Data Replication Framework)

  • SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation)

Good-to-Have (Secondary Skills)

• Experience with SAP BTP services, including BTP ABAP Environment, SAP Build Process Automation (Workflows/Rules), and BTP Transport Management.

• Enhanced frontend Fiori/SAPUI5 customization experience.
