SAP Test Manager Location: Germany (Hybrid/Remote as required) Employment Type: Full-time Language Requirement: German and English Key Responsibilities
Define and implement end-to-end test strategies for SAP projects and transformation initiatives.
Plan, coordinate, and manage all testing phases, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, and Cutover Testing.
Lead test planning, test preparation, execution, defect management, and reporting activities.
Coordinate business users, functional consultants, technical teams, and external stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle.
Monitor testing progress, risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely escalation when required.
Ensure compliance with industry-specific quality and validation standards where applicable.
Establish test governance, metrics, KPIs, and reporting structures.
Support continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
Facilitate testing workshops and status meetings with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Test Manager, Test Lead, or similar role within SAP environments.
Experience managing testing activities for SAP implementation, rollout, migration, or transformation projects.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
Experience working in consulting or project-based delivery environments is highly desirable.
Industry experience in one or more of the following sectors:
Pharmaceuticals
Chemicals
Medical Technology
Food & Beverage
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities in complex project environments.
Fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken).
Nice-to-Have Skills
Functional knowledge of SAP business processes and modules.
Experience with SAP Cloud ALM for test management and project delivery.
Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
Experience in regulated environments and validation processes.
ISTQB certification or comparable testing qualification.
