SAP SD / AATP / gATP Solution Architect
Location: Germany
Type: Contract
The Role
We are looking for a senior SAP Solution Architect with deep Available-to-Promise expertise to own the design of complex, multi-system order fulfilment and availability check landscapes.
This is a hands-on functional architecture role for someone who has lived through gATP (APO) and is now driving the move to S/4HANA Advanced ATP — someone who can design the target solution, challenge the business, and direct the development effort behind it.
What You'll Do
- Architect and lead the design of S/4HANA Advanced ATP solutions, including migration from existing gATP (APO) setups.
- Configure and optimise Alternative-Based Confirmation (ABC), Product Allocation & Rationing, Advanced Scheduling and Advanced Intercompany (ICO).
- Own the integration points between ATP, Sales & Distribution and wider logistics and supply chain planning processes.
- Translate complex business requirements into structured, scalable designs across multi-system landscapes.
- Direct ABAP and extensibility work — reviewing code, shaping technical designs and guiding developers.
- Build capability within the organisation: mentoring colleagues and raising the standard of ATP knowledge across the team.
What You'll Bring
Essential
- Proven, deep functional and architectural experience in SAP gATP (APO), with a strong current focus on S/4HANA Advanced ATP (AATP).
- Hands-on involvement in S/4HANA migrations.
- Strong understanding of Sales & Distribution (SD) process flows and logistics integration points.
- Solid grounding in supply chain planning concepts — demand planning, supply planning and capacity constraints.
- Demonstrated configuration experience across ABC, Product Allocation & Rationing, Advanced Scheduling and Advanced Intercompany.
- A genuine development/programming background: enough technical depth to design properly, read code and direct ABAP/extensibility efforts.
- Senior-level presence, exceptional analytical skills, and a track record of architecting complex multi-system solutions.
- Self-starter with natural curiosity and a structured, methodical approach to solving complex problems.
Highly Valuable
- Experience with OM Partners (OMP) planning tools — a strong differentiator.
Location & Languages
- Based in Germany, ideally.
- Business English required; fluent or business-level German is highly valuable.
