The Opportunity
Our client is a growing boutique SAP consultancy known for delivering high?quality, pragmatic SAP programmes for international clients. With a strong pipeline of S/4HANA transformations and global rollouts, they are looking to strengthen their leadership team with an experienced SAP Project / Programme Manager who can take full ownership of complex, cross?border SAP initiatives.
This role offers real responsibility, direct client access, and the ability to shape programmes end?to?end, without the bureaucracy of large system integrators.
Your Role
As an SAP Project / Programme Manager, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of international SAP programmes, managing scope, budget, timelines, and stakeholders across multiple countries and cultures.
You will:
Lead end?to?end SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC implementations, from initial design through go?live and hypercare
Drive large?scale rollout programmes, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to global templates
Manage global delivery teams, including onshore, nearshore, and offshore units (e.g. Indian delivery centers)
Act as the primary client counterpart at senior management level, steering governance, decision?making, and risk management
Own template governance, balancing global standards with local legal and business requirements
Oversee program management structures, including multi?project coordination, dependency management, and reporting
Work closely with functional and technical SAP leads to ensure solution quality and business alignment
Support internal consulting leadership with methodology development, quality assurance, and client growth
Your Experience & Skills
You bring a strong track record of delivering SAP transformations in international environments and are comfortable operating at both strategic and hands?on levels.
Required:
Minimum 5 international SAP end?to?end project deliveries led (SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC)
Strong experience with SAP rollout programmes (regional or global)
Proven delivery experience across international environments, ideally within Europe
Solid intercultural leadership experience, including collaboration with Indian or other offshore teams
Demonstrated expertise in template management and rollout governance
Experience managing large SAP programmes with multiple parallel workstreams
Fluent German and English
Nice to Have:
Industry background in Pharmaceuticals, ideally pharma manufacturing / production
Experience working in regulated environments (GxP, validation considerations, compliance)
Prior consulting background (boutique or Tier?1)
