Engagement type: Contract Initial term: 6 months (strong likelihood of extension to c. 18 months) Location: Remote, with occasional travel to Germany for on-site workshops Language: German language skills a strong advantage (see below)
The role
A leading global industrial and engineering enterprise is seeking an experienced, techno-functional SAP MDG Consultant to support the design, build and delivery of its master data governance landscape on S/4HANA. Working across finance, business partner and material master domains, you will combine hands-on configuration with functional process understanding to deliver robust, well-governed master data.
Key responsibilities
Configure and deliver SAP MDG across the Finance (MDG-F), Business Partner (MDG-BP) and Material Master (MDG-M) domains
Design and extend MDG data models to meet business requirements
Build and maintain BRF+ rules, workflows, validations and derivations
Ensure clean integration between MDG and S/4HANA and other connected SAP systems
Translate business master data processes into technical solutions, and support end-to-end delivery
Contribute to master data governance best practice, standards and documentation
Required skills
Proven, hands-on delivery experience across SAP MDG-F, MDG-BP and MDG-M
Strong techno-functional capability, spanning:
MDG configuration and data modelling
BRF+, workflows, validations and derivations
Integration with S/4HANA and other SAP systems
Functional process knowledge combined with technical implementation ability
Preferred skills
German language proficiency
Experience across end-to-end MDG implementations and upgrade projects
Strong understanding of master data governance processes and best practices
Candidate preference
Candidates with a techno-functional SAP MDG background and German language skills will be prioritised over purely functional or purely technical consultants.
