The Challenge We are looking for a high-impact SAP FSM Consultant & Operator to take ownership of a mission-critical FSM environment. This is not a standard implementation; it is a stabilisation and recovery mission. You will be tasked with resolving long-standing technical debt, eliminating an incident backlog of 50+ cases, and fixing a connector architecture that has faced disruptions for over 18 months.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Stabilisation: Act as the primary lead for FSM incidents, implementing rigorous processes to manage daily operations where a dedicated team is currently absent.
Backlog & Root Cause Resolution: Methodically reduce the 50+ open incident cases. Identify and implement permanent fixes for recurring FSM-connector breakdowns.
System Optimisation: Diagnose and resolve application latency and performance "slowness" through system tuning and configuration improvements.
Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer: Lead and upskill two junior FSM consultants through "pair programming" and hands-on guidance to enable future independence.
Solution Architecture: Lead CRPs (Conference Room Pilots), perform AS-IS/TO-BE modelling, and ensure product fitment within a complex GIS and SAP ecosystem.
Required Technical Expertise
SAP FSM Mastery: Deep experience in SAP FSM operations, specifically with connector troubleshooting, middleware, and integration points.
Utility Domain: Strong knowledge of Utility Data Models (European Standards) and integration with utility enterprise/operational systems.
Technical Stack: * Proficiency in GIS suite of solutions.
Development experience with Web Patterns.
Expertise in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and integration patterns with SAP.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead development teams and manage high-pressure stakeholder environments.
