SAP Cutover Manager | Contract Role
We are seeking a seasoned SAP Cutover Manager for a 4–6 month initial contract to lead the execution phase of a major SAP programme. While the overarching cutover strategy is already defined, we require a hands-on expert to take ownership of the tactical orchestration and delivery.
The Project Timeline
The successful candidate must be available to hit the ground running for the following critical milestones:
- 1st June: Commencement of the Dress Rehearsal.
- 20th July: Official Go-Live and execution of the final Cutover.
- Post Go-Live: Hypercare support and transition to Business as Usual (BAU).
Key Responsibilities
- Execution Leadership: Take the existing cutover strategy and translate it into a high-precision, "Minute-by-Minute" execution plan.
- Dress Rehearsal Management: Lead the full-scale simulation starting 1st June, identifying gaps, refining timings, and updating the runbook based on results.
- Command Centre Operations: Manage the "War Room" during the Go-Live window, acting as the central point of contact for all technical and business workstreams.
- Issue Resolution: Rapidly triage and resolve blockers during the cutover window, ensuring the critical path remains on track.
- Reporting: Provide real-time status updates to the Project Board and senior stakeholders during high-pressure execution phases.
Experience & Requirements
- SAP Execution Expert: Significant experience in leading cutovers for large-scale SAP environments (S/4HANA or ECC).
- Tactical Focus: You must be an expert at execution rather than just theory—proven ability to manage complex dependencies under tight deadlines.
- Contractor Mindset: Ability to quickly digest an existing strategy and add immediate value to a pre-established team.
- Availability: Must be able to commit to the full duration of the contract, including the intensive periods surrounding the June and July milestones.
Contract Details
- Duration: 4–6 months (with potential for extension).
- Location: UK-based (Remote/Hybrid options to be discussed).
Note: Due to the nature of the Go-Live on 20th July, there is a mandatory requirement for flexibility during the "cutover weekend" and the preceding Dress Rehearsal weeks.
