Business Data Migration Expert – Order to Cash
Function: Order to Cash Location: India Experience: 5+ years Engagement: SAP S/4HANA deployment
Job Purpose
Owns data migration for the assigned Order-to-Cash data objects on a global S/4HANA deployment, delivering to global, deployment and country requirements and timelines. Acts as the functional (business-side) single point of contact for migration of those objects for a given release.
Data Objects in Scope
Customer master; product pricing / pricing conditions; contracts; plus open sales orders, deliveries and billing documents, customer hierarchies and credit data.
Major Accountabilities
- Own data cleansing and data collection for assigned objects (incl. manual / construction objects), to schedule
- Prepare value mappings with IT counterparts and maintain master lists where applicable
- Provide business insight to technical teams for extraction and conversion from the legacy system(s)
- Work with IT and country Business Data Owners to confirm objects in scope per country
- Ensure data readiness and verify quality / fitness for purpose; approve upload files (formal sign-off) before and after load
- Perform manual loads and dual maintenance, execute and approve verification scripts, and act as defect-management SPoC during Hypercare
Key Performance Indicators
- Cleansing and data loads completed, and all major data quality issues resolved, for assigned objects in line with the migration schedule.
Required Background & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred
Languages: Fluent English (additional languages preferred)
Experience: 5+ years across country and global roles; ERP SAP project implementation experience
SAP knowledge: Strong process knowledge of Sales management, Contract management, Order to Cash and Pricing, with good visibility of Customer master and the sales view of Material master data.
Data migration: Data migration experience preferred
Competencies: Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management; strategic and hands-on (running meetings, tracking progress, managing issues); strong Excel.
Profile Fit – What We’re Looking For
- Has owned OTC / SD migration objects (customer master, pricing, contracts) on a live SAP deployment
- Strong sales / contract / pricing process knowledge, including the sales view of material master
- Confident with sales-area dependencies, partner functions and the migration of open sales documents
A business / functional data-owner role – not a pure configuration consultant, and not a technical migration developer (BODS / Syniti / LTMC).
