SAP ABAP Developer – S/4HANA Upgrade | Global Life Sciences | Contract

Our global life sciences client is undertaking a major S/4HANA transformation and requires an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to support their upgrade programme.

The Role

You'll be embedded within a technically demanding S/4HANA project, responsible for managing upgrade activities, developing core ABAP objects, and building modern S/4HANA services — working closely with functional teams to deliver robust technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute SPDD and SPAU adjustments and implement SAP Notes during upgrade cycles
• Develop and maintain ABAP reports, enhancements, BAPIs, and interfaces
• Build and consume CDS Views and OData services within the S/4HANA environment
• Partner with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical design
• Support unit testing, code reviews, and transport management across system landscapes

Skills & Experience Required

• 5–6 years of hands-on SAP ABAP Core development experience
• Proven S/4HANA upgrade experience including SPDD/SPAU and SAP Notes implementation
• Strong CDS Views and OData services knowledge
• SAP Fiori and ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) exposure advantageous
