Masentó Search have been exclusively engaged by a leading Big 4 consultancy to identify and appoint a Partner to further strengthen their Banking Risk & Regulatory practice in Germany. This appointment represents a critical strategic investment for the firm in response to growing client demand in the area of BCBS 239, risk data aggregation, and regulatory reporting transformation.

The incoming Partner will assume responsibility for developing and leading a distinct business line around BCBS 239, working with major German and international banks. This mandate encompasses the origination and execution of client engagements, the establishment of enduring client relationships at the most senior levels, and the build-out of a high-performing consulting team to deliver large-scale programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement a market strategy to establish the firm as the advisor of choice for BCBS 239 and associated regulatory transformation initiatives.
• Originate, structure, and close consulting engagements, ensuring sustained revenue growth.
• Provide senior-level oversight to the delivery of complex regulatory and risk data programmes, ensuring exceptional quality and client satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with C-level executives, regulators, and other key stakeholders in the banking sector.
• Attract, develop, and retain top consulting talent, creating a cohesive and scalable team.
• Contribute to the wider leadership of the firm, collaborating across service lines to bring integrated solutions to market.

• A senior leader within management consulting, with extensive experience advising the banking sector on risk, regulatory, and data-related transformation programmes.
• Recognised expertise in BCBS 239 and regulatory reporting, ideally with a strong network across Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks in Germany.
• Demonstrable track record of business origination, client relationship management, and delivery of complex multi-year engagements.
• Proven ability to build and lead consulting practices, with strong people leadership and talent development capabilities.
• Fluent in German and English; international experience would be advantageous.
• Strong academic credentials in a relevant field.
