Job Title: IT Director, Data & AI
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Chief Information Officer
Job Purpose:
Lead the development and execution of data strategies using AI/ML to enhance decision-making, efficiency, and innovation across various business functions. Must have previous experience with the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- AI-Driven Strategy Development: Implement scalable data strategies integrating AI/ML models.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with various business functions to identify high-impact AI use cases.
- Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to global regulations and industry standards.
- Data Governance & Architecture: Oversee the design of data ecosystems and governance frameworks.
- External Innovation: Cultivate partnerships to pilot cutting-edge technologies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Translate AI concepts into actionable insights for leadership.
- Team Leadership: Mentor a team, promoting best practices in AI ethics and model explainability.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's or PhD in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience: Extensive experience in data, AI strategy, and machine learning in pharma/life sciences.
- Skills: Proficiency in AI frameworks, cloud platforms, and data tools; strong communication and strategic thinking skills.
Communication & Working Relationships:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (CIO, IT Directors, Finance Directors, Business Function Leads) and external industry leaders.
