Azure AI Technical Lead — 12-Month Contract (Fully Remote)

Start date: 1 Aug 2026

• Lead the design, build, and operation of enterprise AI solutions on Azure — Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Semantic Kernel, and core Azure services.
• Stay hands-on: review architecture and code, build POCs, troubleshoot complex issues, and guide teams through production hardening.
• Define and enforce engineering standards for AI delivery — evaluation, monitoring, release controls, security, privacy, and Responsible AI.
• Partner with architecture, security, and delivery stakeholders to keep solutions scalable, compliant, and auditable.

• Senior software engineering background with deep hands-on design and delivery of cloud-native applications and APIs.
• Proven delivery of production GenAI and agentic solutions on Microsoft tech — Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry, Semantic Kernel, Copilot Studio, RAG, and evaluation workflows.
• Strong Azure engineering: Functions, App Services, AKS, API Management, Entra, CI/CD, monitoring, and production support.
• Demonstrated technical leadership — building POCs through to production, reviewing code and architecture, and leading teams by example.
• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments with robust security, privacy, governance, and Responsible AI controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across technical and business teams.
