Masentó Search have been engaged on an exclusive basis by a management consulting business to find an Associate Partner with Power and Utilities industry experience in Germany.
The successful candidate will play a defining role within an expanding footprint in Utilities industry segment, focus on developing new business opportunities, shape solutions for clients, and deliver strategic programs.

Responsibilities
Anchor or play significant delivery leadership role on selected target clients
Work with European Utilities Industry team to develop, shape, sell and deliver client advisory and technology enabled transformation engagements
Work alone and/or lead medium and/or large teams split across multiple geographies
Lead the development of Value Propositions targeted?at C-level executives that exploit emerging and established solutions to solve clients' operational and strategic challenges in the Utilities industry
Develop Market Offerings supported by relevant points of view to generate and sustain presence in the market place and lead medium and large Sales Pursuits
Pursue, win and deliver large scale value-driven deals
Shape, lead and deliver value and outcome-based consulting and transformation engagements
Leadership and Growth
Develop and grow a high performing consulting team
Serve as a coach to direct reports within the practice, and be committed to supporting the learning, development and career progression for those within the practice
Set expectations and lead by example - by demonstrating desired behaviours, taking accountability and driving complex decisions
Pre-requisite Skills & Experience
10+ Years’ Experience in consulting and transformation engagements primarily in Utilities. Wider experience in the Energy industry is a plus
Strong CXO-level client contacts and should be able to open doors quickly and hit the ground running
Successful Business Development history including exposure to each of the various aspects of a typical sales cycle
Able to provide direction and coordination across the various aspects of small, medium and large strategy creation and innovation delivery engagements
Strong commercial awareness
Proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines and challenging constraints
In depth understanding of the Industry, regulatory regime and trends
Experience, exposure to established and emerging technologies (such as SAP S/4 HANA, SAP Cloud4Utilities, Microsoft Industry Solutions, Salesforce, Digital, Mobile, IoT, Analytics & AI) relevant to the industry
Demonstrable ability to develop consulting IP and Market Offerings;
Demonstrable internal and external thought leadership through internal service offering building/leadership and external industry visibility (PoV publications, speaking in industry forums/events)
Extensive experience in two or more of the following areas:
Electricity / Gas supply
Energy grids, distribution
Energy Solutions and Non-Commodity Products & Services, like e-Mobility, PV, Home and Business Solutions
Sustainability/Netzero drivers (e.g energy solutions, e-mobility)
Generation / renewables
Previous top tier consulting firm experience Experience and working in a global delivery model highly desirable
All candidates must be willing and able to travel extensively to client sites within the EMEA region
Education
Strong academic background, Tier-1 graduate institution and/or post graduate degree
Personality and personal attributes
Passionate, with ability to set a vision, execute on strategy, oversee delivery, and have the patience, maturity and confidence to 'stay the course' while building a business
Keep ahead of market trends, ensuring the right balance between reactivity and strategic positioning to steer the team in the right direction
Ability to collaborate within the firm, group competency centres and external partners
Ability to synthesise appropriate ideas and actions and demonstrate the skills of communicating this in a clear and succinct manner
Ability to facilitate discussions, analysis and de-construct problems, develop structured solutions
Outstanding communication skills in German (verbal and written) and the ability to influence c-level stakeholders
Ability to build strong and effective business relationships
Highest levels of integrity and professional standards
