Solution Architect
- The Solution architect performs a critical role in the effective delivery of IT services.
- They are responsible for the development of high-level business strategy or tactical business requirements, identifying the business capabilities that are needed and translating them into new technical solutions
- They also review existing systems to identify opportunities for improvement or replacement
Key Responsibilities
- Identify required business capabilities and define the systems architectures and solutions that deliver these
- Develop multi-year business capability roadmaps working with Head of Business Systems
- For new projects capture business requirements, develop high level solutions and contribute to the development of robust business cases
- Ensure initiatives are set up for success and aligned with the corporate strategy
- Maintain creativity and innovation by staying on top of industry and technological trends.
Key Skills
- Enterprise architecture methods (eg TOGAF)
- Business Analysis skills including formal methods e.g. process flows, use cases etc
- Extensive SAP experience – preferably Finance, Aftermarket and Manufacturing
- Relationship-building and influencing
- Strategic thinking
- Strong communication skills - written, spoken and presentation
- Ability to be collaborative and to encourage collaboration
