SAP SD Core Expert - Export Focus (S/4HANA Transformation)

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled SAP SD Core Expert with a strong background in global export business for a 12-month contract. This role is integral to the S/4HANA Core Design Team, focusing on the design and implementation of a harmonised global Order-to-Cash (OTC) template, with a specific emphasis on international sales, export documentation, and related trade compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Core Template Design: Design, configure, and prototype core SAP SD business processes within S/4HANA, covering the full OTC cycle.

• Export Process Specialisation: Lead the design and configuration for International Sales and Export Operations, including export order types, delivery processing, Foreign Trade/Customs Integration (GTS), Intrastat/Extrastat, and required documentation (e.g., Certificates of Origin).

• Requirement Gathering: Participate in global design workshops, translating business requirements into robust, compliant, and scalable functional solutions.

• Integration: Ensure seamless integration points between SD and other modules, particularly MM (Shipping/Logistics) and FI (Invoicing/Revenue Recognition).

• Compliance: Apply an understanding of Pharmaceutical industry requirements to the OTC and export processes to ensure compliance and traceability.

• Testing: Support unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.

Essential Requirements

• SAP SD: Minimum 7+ years of experience in SAP SD, including hands-on configuration of core OTC processes.

• Export/Trade Expertise: Proven expertise in designing and implementing export-focused SD processes, including knowledge of Foreign Trade data and experience working with SAP GTS or similar customs management solutions.

• S/4HANA Experience: Solid functional experience with S/4HANA is highly preferred.

• Pharmaceutical Sector: Experience working on IT/SAP projects within the Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, or similarly highly regulated industry is required.

• Location/Language: Must be EU-based with the right to work, and fluent in professional English.
