SAP Finance Lead (S/4HANA Rollout) - Italy
Role: SAP FICO Finance Lead – S/4HANA Global Rollout
Location: Milan (3 days onsite Tue–Thu)
Contract: 9–10 months + Extensions Likely
Start: ASAP (part-time pre-Jan possible)
The Opportunity
Join a major multi-wave S/4HANA global rollout in Italy or a leading energy & utilities customer. You will lead Finance execution, ensuring on-time migration, SIT/UAT readiness, and template integrity — while managing on-/offshore teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead Finance execution for rollout waves in full delivery phase
- Validate & supervise Finance data loads (mock cycles & Go-Live)
- Drive SIT triage, defect resolution and war-room coordination
- Support UAT planning & user enablement
- Align detailed delivery plan with PMO & wider SI team
- Maintain governance and minimise deviations from global template
- Provide hands-on functional guidance to junior consultants
- Report progress, risks & mitigation confidently to senior stakeholders
Required Experience
- 10+ years SAP Finance (FI/CO) with strong hands-on S/4HANA
- Global rollout experience including data migration
- Able to unblock issues at configuration, data, or integration level
- Senior stakeholder engagement & governance leadership
- Previous Big-4 / major SI background strongly advantageous
- Experience leading nearshore/offshore delivery teams
